Intermap Powers CO2 Emissions Effort

Denver-based Intermap Technologies, a provider of 3D mapping data and other GIS products, said today that its 3D road geometry products have been selected by the University of Stuttgart, as part of a study to help reduce vehicle CO2 emissions. The firm said its data will be used as part of an interdisciplinary research project, aimed at reducing vehicular CO2 emissions in Germany. The firm said the company's data will be used as part of building a driving simulator to help develop intelligent driver assistance systems. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
