InfoNow in Deal with Microsoft

Looking to strengthen its LocationInsight Web application, Denver, Colorado-based InfoNow Corp. has agreed to integrate Microsoft's Virtual Earth mapping and location service, the Redmond, Wash.-based software mega-giant announced Wednesday. LocationInsight helps point a company's customers to the location or service that best fits the customers' needs. For example, a customer seeking a store location in the middle of the night would be directed to a 24-hour facility rather than one that might be nearer but is already closed. Microsoft's Virtual Earth will enhance those instructions with satellite and aerial imagery, driving directions, parking information and location-specific details for that business.
