ILX Lightwave Acquisition Completes

The acquisition of Bozeman, Montana-based ILX Lightwave has completed, according to buyer Newport Corporation. Newport said it paid $9.3M in cash for ILX, which had 2011 revenues of approximately $8M. Newport had said it would buy ILX at the end of 2010. ILX is a maker of test and measurement equipment used for laser diodes and other photonic components.
