iLinc Scores Patent

Phoenix-based iLinc, a provider of web and video conferenceing software, announced this morning that it has scored a patent from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The firm said the patent, number 7,590,690, covers the application, algorithms, and processes within its product for tracking greenhouse emissions saved from not traveling to meetings. According to the USPTO, the patent was issued on September 15, and was filed on June 13, 2007. The inventors are Ethan Abrams, iLinc's VP of Product Development, and Marie Prentice, a software developer at the firm.
