Greenmont Capital Backs EcoSMART

Atlanta-based EcoSMART technologies, a firm developing pesticides derived from natural plant oils, has scored $2M equity investment from Boulder-based Greenmont Capital Partners, the firm said Tuesday. Greenmont is an investor in natural products, specifically focused on early stage, health and sustainability-focused companies. EcoSMART said Greenmont's investment came along with $2M in a credit facility from Western Technology Investment. Greenmont's Managing Directors include Todd Woloson (co-founded IZZE Beverage Company); David Haynes (recently an EIR at Boulder Ventures); Barney Feinblum (Horizon Organic Dairy/Celestial Seasonings); and Hass Hassan (EcoTimber, IZZE Beverage, Wild Oats).
