Grayhawk Capital Has First Close On Second Venture Fund

Phoenix, Arizona-based Grayhawk Capital has had a first close on its second fund, Grayhawk Venture Fund II, bringing the amount of the fund raised to $28.5M, according to the fund. The new fund is focused on venture capital investments in early- and growth-stage technologies companies in the Southwest. Grayhawk is managed by Brian N. Burns, Sherman I. Chu, and Brian S. Smith. Grayhawk invests in software, Internet, technology-enabled services, healthcare IT, financial services, and clean technology companies. The firm's prior portfolio firms include MX Logic, Innovasic, CareFX, among other companies.
