Google Targets Arizona, Utah On Medical Records

Search engine giant Google said Monday that it is working on a pilot program with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to allow Medicare beneficiaries in Arizona and Utah import their claims into Google health. Google Health is the search engine's project to allow Internet users to manage all of their health information online. The service--which first was announced in February of 2008--will allow users to access claims and information in the service, and share data with family members and doctors. The firm said that it is looking for Medicare beneficiaries living in Arizona and Utah to sign up for the pilot program, which runs until the end of 2009.
