Gnip Raises $3.5M in Series B Funds

Boulder, Colo.-based Gnip Inc., publisher of a hosted extensible messaging platform, announced Tuesday that it has closed its second round of institutional financing after raising $3.5 million. The Series B effort came from existing investors, including the Foundry Group, First Round Capital and SoftTech VC. Gnip said it will use the money to help establish additional partnerships and to invest in product development. According to Gnip, its platform facilitates how companies access, filter and integrate data from across the Internet.
