Get Ready, Get Set, Start Your Soldering Irons

Are you an electronics geek with a obsession with soldering your own circuits? Can you solder surface mount devices better than any darn reflow oven? Well, Boulder-based SparkFun Electronics, a provider of electronics parts, kits, and other supplies, is calling your name. SparkFun said today that it has launched a new competition which will pit the public against each other in a soldering competition, which will test people in common soldering tasks, with the top prize of $500. The electronics online retailer said that its first annual SparkFun Soldering Competition wll be held on April 28th in Longmont, with special prizes for kids 12 years and older.
