First Solar Names New CFO

Tempe, Arizona-based First Solar, the maker of photovoltaic solar panels, said yesterday that it has named Mark Widmar as its Chief Financial Officer. Widmar replaces James Zhu, who was serving in the position as interim CFO. Zhu returns to his Chief Accounting Officer role. Widmer was most recently at Graftech international Inc., and also has worked at NCR Corporation, Dell, and Lucent Technologies.
