First Data, Microsoft, HP Team On POS

Denver-based First Data Corp, Microsoft, and HP said today they have joined on a new store management software and hardware solution focused on small businesses. The companies said that their First Data POS Value Exchange replaces cash register and traditional point of sale terminals with computer-based systems for store management. The new solution combines First Data's payment processing, Microsoft Dynamics Point of Sales software, and HP hardware. The touch-screen enabled product is targeted at small retailers with single stores.
