Education Firm Gets $4.5M, Sets Up HQ In Scottsdale

A developer of education technology, Docufide, said this morning that it has raised $4.5M in a funding round, set up headquarters in Scottsdale, and named Matthew Pittinsky as its CEO. Pittinsky is the founder of Blackboard, one of the biggest developers of educational software in the U.S. Docufide said the funding round came from Novak Biddle Venture Partners, and is its first institutional round. Docufide was originally based in Los Angeles, where it continues to maintain offices. Pittinsky was most recently an associate professor of sociology at Arizona State University. More information »
