eSoft Updates SiteFilter

Broomfield, Colorado-based eSoft, a developer of web filtering software, said today that it has released SiteFilter 3.0, an update to the firm's categorized URL security service. The firm said the service, which it licenses to OEMs, provides zero-hour malicioius URL protection combined with categorization of different sites. The firm offers the service to mobile service providers, antivirus/security vendors, and managed service providers via software-as-a-service. The firm said the updated offering speeds up lookup of sites, provides additional APIs into the service, as well as expands IP address categories.
