COPAN Gets Sun Solaris Certification
Longmont, Colorado-based COPAN systems, provider of disk based archiving and storage systems, has received certification from Sun Microsystems for the Solaris 10 operating system. The certification with Solaris and COPAN's Revolution 220T and Revolution 220TX comes after in-depth interoperability, compatibility, and functionality tests of the devices with the Sun operating system. COPAN develops what it calls MAID (Massive Array of Idle Disks), specialty storage systems that provide a replacement for tape using very densely packed, power optimized disk storage.
