Colorado Launches New $62M Investment Fund

The State of Colorado said last week that it has launched a new, $62M investment fund, called the Colorado Impact Fund, the help provide greater access to capital to businesses and entrepreneurs in the sate. According to the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade, the new fund will pair businesses with mentors and advisers, and is expected to invest in 10 to 15 companies over the next five years. The Office of Economic Development and International Trade said the fund specifically is looking to invest in businesses with at least $2M in annual sales, with the potential for both profits and impact on the state, in the areas of improving health, conservation, economic development or education. The new fund is being managed by Jim Kelley.
