Colorado Looks At High Tech Hyperloop Transportation System

The State of Colorado, through the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), is officially looking at the feasibility of connecting Cheyenne, Denver, and Pueblo using the Hyperloop high speed, tube transportation concept, according to Los Angeles-based Hyperloop One. The startup, which is in the early stages of developing high speed technology aimed at shooting cargo and people between cities at more than 700 miles per hour, said it has reached a deal with CDOT on a feasibility study for the route between the cities. CDOT said that implementing Hyperloop would "directly align with our goals of improving mobility and safety in Colorado" and that a high tech system like Hyperloop could potentially change "how Colorado moves".
