CirrusMD Finds $7M For Telemedicine Efforts

Denver-based CirrusMD, which offers a text-first telemedicine service for large health systems and insurers, has raised $7M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. The funding was led by the Colorado Impact Fund, and also included Bootstrap Incubation, Three Leaf Ventures, Rockies Venture Fund, Service Provider Capital, Sand Hill Angels, and New York Angels. The startup, led by Andrew Altorfer and co-founded by Dr. Blake McKinney, allows patients to access doctors via text messaging. The company said it already has 1.3 million patients on its platform.
