Chatbooks Gets $6M For Super Quick Photo Books

Provo, Utah-based Chatbooks, a service which helps people very quickly turn out photo books drawn from a user's phone and social media, has raised $6M in a Series A funding, the company said this morning. The funding was led by Signal Peak Ventures, and also included Kickstart Seed Fund, Peterson Ventures, and BYU Cougar Capital. Chatbooks, which was co-founded by Vanessa and Nate Quigley, automatically generates a book for users every time they have taken 60 photos, turning those photos into a 6x6 photo book. The app was originally created by the Quigleys to make it easier for parents to create photo books of their kids without having to go through the hassle of sorting and turning those photos into pages. Chatbooks also said it has raised an additional $1M in venture debt from Silicon Valley Bank as part of the funding round. More information »
