Centricient Finds $6.5M In Funding

Bozeman, Montana-based Centricient said this morning that it has raised $6.5M in financing, which was led by Venrock and also included Next Frontier Capital. Venrock--which is one of the longest and most established venture firms in Silicon Valley--is adding Nick Beim to Centricient's board as part of the funding. Centricient develops a cloud-based software application, which helps connecte enterprises with their customers via Facebook Messneger, SMS, and text messaging. The investment by Venrock is a big vote of confident for the Montana firm--Venrock's prior successful investments have included such companies as Apple Computer, Intel, Gilead Sciences, Idec Pharmaceuticals, Check Point Software, and many, many others.
