    Lunch with Leo Discussion to Explore Nutritional Pathways to Health. USTAR and the Leonardo are holding a science lecture and luncheon which you and your organization may find of interest. Open to the public, "Lunch with Leo" will feature Dr. David York and Dr. Michael Lefevre of USU's Center for Advanced Nutrition (CAN). CAN aims to understand the mechanisms through which diet impacts health and disease from the level of the gene to the whole individual. See
    At this Lunch with Leo session - entitled "Are you what you eat or what your genes condemn you to?" - the professors will facilitate a wide-ranging discussion of diet. We’ll discuss how nutritional science may influence our health and diseases such as obesity, type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and neurodegenerative diseases of aging such as Alzheimer’s in the future. And don’t worry – we’ll have plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains to enjoy!
