Butterfield Launches SageCreek Partners

Former Altiris CEO Greg Butterfield has teamed up with a number of other Altiris executives and others to form a new consultantcy, SageCreek Partners. According to SageCreek, it will provide strategic guidance, mentoring, and other resources from Greg Butterfield, Dwain Kinghorn, Steve Erickson, Tracy Tolbert, Mark Bonham, Volker Wiora and Srinivasa "Venky" Venkataraman. The firm--based in Alpine, Utah--said it will provide its services to companies in exchange for a retainer plus equity in companies. Butterfield, Kinghorn, and Erickson are all formerly of Altiris/Symantec; Tolbert joins from ACS, Bonham from law firm Ray Quinney & Nebeker, Wiora from Wiora Software; and Venkataraman from Appstream.
