Boulder Power Technologies Rolls Out To National Market

Boulder-based Boulder Power Technologies, which develops mobile, battery-based power systems aimed at replacing noisy and pollution creating generators, said it has rolled out national availability of the company's flagship PowerTap 2000 product. The device--which initially became available in Colorado in March--is aimed at replacing generators at construction sites, for outdoor sound and lighting, and other applications. The company's device uses Lithium Ion batteries -- and a household plug -- to charge up a large power bank, which can be wheeled elsewhere for portable power. The company says its battery bank supplies up to 12 hours of power for a variety of devices.
