Blackfoot Buys Idaho Operations From Fairpoint

Missoula, Montana-based telecommunications provider Blackfoot Telecommunications Group has acuqired the Idaho-based operations of communications and broadband provider FairPoint Communications, the two said yesterday. The deal was worth $30M in cash. The move adds more than 5,000 residential and business customers in eastern Idaho to Blackfoot, generating approximately $8M in annual revenues. Blackfoot serves more than 20,000 customers in western Montana and Idaho.
