Berkeley Data Systems Upgrades Backup Software

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Berkeley Data Systems, which operates the Mozy online backup and storage service, has upgraded the firm's backup software. Berkeley said Wednesday that the firm now supports Microsoft's Vista operating system, and also said that its product is now available at retailers that include OfficeDepot, CompUSA, Frys and Microcenter. Mozy offers up to 2GB of online backup for free, with unlimited backup for $4.95 a month. The firm is funded by Drew Major, Tim Draper of Draper Fisher Jurvetson, and Wasatch Ventures.
