BackupMyTree Acquired By Israeli Firm

Boulder-based BackupMyTree, a provider of on automatic, online backup service for family tree data, has been acquired by Tel Aviv, Israel-based MyHeritage.com. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. MyHeritage.com said the buy would expand its technology and services. BackupMyTree was founded by Cliff Shaw and Ryan Spohn in 2010, and automatically finds family tree files and backs them up on an off-site data center.
