Avnet Appoints New CFO

Phoenix-based electronics distributor Avnet said today that Kevin Moriarty has been named as Chief Financial Officer of the company. Moriarty replaces Ray Sadowski, Avnet's 20-year CFO, who is retiring. Moriarty was prevoiusly at HOneywell International. Sadowski--who has been at Avnet since 1978--will become a senior advisor the company to assist in the transition. Moriarty also served at Bristol-Myers Squibb and PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he had been an audit partner.
