Avnet Deal In Turkey Completes

Phoenix, Arizona-based electronics distributor Avnet said Monday that it has completed its joint venture with a Turkish firm, Sanko Holdings Group. Avnet said in December that it was buying a 50.01 percent interest in Avnet Technology Solutions Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., to create what it says will be one of the largest IT distributors in Turkey. The new joint venture will become part of Avnet's Technology Solutions Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
