Avanquest Acquires Web Site, Software From SendPhotos

Avanquest Software USA has entered the online photo-sharing market thanks to the acquisition of a Web site and related software from SendPhotos Inc., Avanquest revealed Monday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Avanquest, a Denver-based software developer whose applications are marketed throughout North America, Europe and Asia, said the photo-sharing site (SendPhotos.com) and photo-sharing technologies will first be used to launch a wireless-based version of the service. SendPhotos.com currently boasts 30,000 subscribers, who each have access to 5 GB of online storage for their digital photographs. SendPhotos Inc. is headquartered in Boulder, Colo.
