Arrow Electronics Puts Muscle Behind Indiegogo

In a big boost for online project crowdfunding site Indiegogo, Centennial, Colorado-based electronics and IT product distributor Arrow Electronics said on Friday that it is in a strategic alliance with Indiegogo. Arrow said it will help provide engineering assistance and go-to-market support for Indiegogo tech campaigns, to help accelerate innovation for technology and Internet of Things (IoT) entrepreneurs. Arrow said the strategic relationship gives qualifying Indiegogo entrepreneurs with direct access to its design tools, engineering experts, prototype services, manufacturing support and even supply chain management -- a significant step up for many prodjet developers--worth up to $500,000. Indiegogo is known for many, innovative and interesting projects--but also for the struggles of many of its projects to get beyond the early stages of development and into production--exactly the kind of expertise Arrow Electronics provides to its customers.
