Apple To Invest $2 Billion In Data Center In Phoenix

Apple is planning to invest $2 billion in converting its facility in Phoenix to a data center for the company, after the failed venture with GT Advanced Technologies. Apple said the new data center will be used to manage its global networks, and employ around 150 full time Apple employees. The facility had been used to manufacture sapphire screens for Apple's products, until the bankruptcy of GT Advanced Technologies in October.
