Amtech Gets $9M Solar Order

Tempe, Arizona-based Amtech Systems, a developer of production and automation systems for the semiconductor and solar industry, said this week that its Tempress Systems subsidiary has received orders for solar equipment worth approximately $9M. The firm did not identify the customers, but said it came from several new and existing customers in Asia. Amtech's silicon wafer handling equipment is used for both semiconductor and photovoltaic cell handling.
