Amended Silicates Gets Financing

Amended Silicates, a joint venture between Denver-based CH2M Hill and ADA Technologies, recently closed a venture capital financing, techrockies.com has learned. No details have been released by the firm. Amended Silicates is commercializing advanced materials being applied to mercury emissions control in coal-fired, utility boilers. The material is expected to be an improvement over existing, carbon-based sorbents used in the industry. The financing closed on June 11th. Amended Silicates says on its web site that its anticipates its commercial material will be available sometime this summer. More information »
