Altiris Supports Intel Management Software

Salt Lake City, Utah-based Altiris is supporting Intel's Active Management Technology (AMT), Intel's new management capabilities based on hardware. Altiris said that it will allow customers to automate their system processes through Intel's management interface, which allows software to communicate with hardware even if a system is off, locked, or not working properly. The Intel AMT capabilities include ability to reset passwords and reboot a system, as well as inventory hardware and manage power on Intel-based PCs. Altiris provides IT management software for deployment and management of systems.
