Affinity BioReagents Acquired By Thermo Fischer Scientific

Golden, Colorado-based Affinity BioReagents, a provider of antibodies, peptides, proteins and other reagents for life science research, has been acquired by a Waltham, Mass. firm. Thermo Fischer Scientific said Thursday that it acquired Affinity BioReagents to bolster the firm's capabilities in the protein research area, but did not disclose financial terms of the deal. According to Thermo Fischer Scientific, Affinity BioReagents had an annual revenue of approximately $6M in 2007, and will become part of Thermo Fischer's Analytical Technologies business.
