ActivaTek Acquired By North Coast Medical

Salt Lake City-based ActivaTek, which manufacturers transdermal drug delivery patches being used for delivering anti-inflammatory drugs, has been acquired by North Coast Medical, North Coast said today. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Activatek's patches are used to eliminate the need for drug injections or for ingesting a pill, specifically for anti-inflammatories. North Coast Medical is based in Gilroy, California, and manufacturers physical rehabilitation medical products. ActivaTek's products are sold into that same market, with the company's patches being administered by Physical Therapists (PTs), according to North Coast.
