Accuvant Buys Ciphent

Denver-based Accuvant, which is owned by Sverica International, said today that it has acquired Ciphent, a provider of cyber security products based in BAltimore, Maryland. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Sverica, the acquisition creates a firm which as more than 300 employees and revenues targeted at exceeding $250M in 2010. Accuvant provides risk and compliance management, information security research and management, and other services to corporate clients. Sverica is a private equity firm with offices in Boston and San Francisco.
