Woodward Governor Acquires MotoTron

Fort Collins-based Woodward Governor, a provider of energy control systems, said earlier this week that it has acquired MotoTron Corporation, a provider of software used for developing control systems for the marine, power generation, industrial, and other related areas. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Woodward Governor, it expects calendar year 2008 sales at MotoTron to be approximately $17M. MotoTron has 80 employees, located in Oshkosh, Wis., Ann Arbor, Mich, Clumbus, Ind., in addition to people in Fort Collins.
