Westar Buys SimAuthor For $8M

Westar Aerospace & Defense Group has acquired Boulder, Colorado-based SimAuthor for approximately $8M, Westar reported today. SimAuthor provides software for flight data visualization and simulation, used by the US Navy, Army, and others. Charlie Douglas, CEO of SimAuthor, will join Westar as president of the SimAuthor Division. Westar is a subsidiary of defense contractor QinetiQ.
