Webroot Ties With RSA On Phising Detection
Broomfield, Colorado-based security software developer Webroot announced today that it is in a technology partnership with RSA, to bolster real-time detection of phishing, the use of fake websites and emails to try to steal bank and other login information from users. According to Webroot, it has linked with RSA, which is a division of EMC, to add additional, real-time phising detection on RSA's FraudAction Anti-Phishing service. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Webroot's service uses machine learning to assess web sites to attempt to detect phishing activities on websites.
