WebPT Gets Investment From Battery Ventures

Phoenix-based electronic medical records software maker WebPT said this morning that it has received a "significant" investment from Silicon Valley investment firm Battery Ventures. Size of the investment was not announced. According to WebPT, it will use the new capital to accelerate growth at the company. WebPT's electronic medical records (EMR) products are specifically designed for the physical therapy (PT) market. The company was founded by Brad and Heidi Jannenga, and says it now has more than 35,000 therapists and 6,000 clinics using its products. Chelsea Stoner of Battery Ventures joins the company's board with the funding. More information »
