Virtuas Appoints VP Global Alliances

Denver, Colorado-based open source service provider Virtuas Open Source Solutions has named a new executive. The firm said yesterday that Philip Robinson has joined the firm as VP of Global Alliances. Robinson will focus on marketing and creating, marketing, and selling the firms services. Philip was most recently at Hewlett-Packard, where he headed its open source middleware initiative. Virtuas provides consulting, education, and development around the Tomcat, Geronimo, Spring, Hibernate, JBoss, and JSF/MyFaces open source packages.
