ViaWest Signs Mozy

Denver-based ViaWest, a regional provider of co-location and managed hosting services, reported Tuesday that it has added data backup specialist Mozy to its roster of clients. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Mozy, which provides consumers and businesses with online backup and recovery services, has quadrupled its customer base in the last year. To keep up with such growth, the company will utilize some 1,200 square-feet of ViaWest's co-location space as well as ViaWest's redundant power and high availability service features. ViaWest maintains eight data centers throughout Colorado, Utah and Oregon and currently supports more than 1,500 businesses. Mozy is owned by EMC.
