Verified Volunteers Takes On Volunteer Screening

Fort Collins, Colorado-based Verified Volunteers launched today, saying it is providing on online platform aimed at helping nonprofits and others vet their volunteers. The new service--owned by private equity backed sterling Infosystems--said it is aimed at helping nonprofits obtain a standardized, background check of their volunteers, which is faster, easier, and less costly than other options. Verified Volunteers said it is rolling out its service in a partnership with Points of Light, a volunteer service firm. Calera Capital invested in Sterling Infosystems back in 2010.
