UrgentRx Snags $2.5M For Flavored Medicine

Denver-based UrgentRx, which develops over-the-counter, flavored medication packets, said today that it has raised $2.5M in a Series B funding round. The round came from JUMP Investors and Boulevard Capital Partners, along with investors Sam Zell, David Bonderman (Texas Pacific Group), and Herb Simon (Simon Properties), with celebrity actress Hilary Swank. The firm said the round will go to build inventory, towards point-of-sale merchandising, and for marketing and a national launch.
