Tridex Solutions Wins Project In Gabon

Salt Lake City-based Tridex Solutions, a firm based on technology developed at Utah State University, said Wednesday that it is powering a 3D mapping effort in the African country of Gabon. According to Tridex, the contract is being used by the country to collect detailed maps collecting hydrology, historical site mapping and biomass inventories, as part of an effort to promote eco-tourism, develop sustainable forestry, and expand infrastructure such as roads and railways Tridex said its technology was developed by Robert Pack, USU associate professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. Tridex develops a multi-spectral camera, which can be mounted on a plane or helicopter to capture 3D mapping and other data.
