Tendril Raises $12M In Series B Funding

Tendril, a developer of wireless sensor networks for the utility industry, announced Monday that it has closed its second round of venture financing after raising $12 million. Tendril credited RRE Ventures of New York City with leading the effort. RRE joins Vista Ventures, Access Venture Partners and Appian Ventures as Tendril's primary investors, the company noted. Tendril is a developer of Zigbee-based wireless sensor networks, which it is now applying to the energy utility and load management market. Tendril is headquartered in Boulder, Colo.
