TeamSnap Sees Surge In Growth

Boulder-based TeamSnap, the online sports team and league management software provider headed by Dave Dupont, is reporting this morning that it saw robust growth in 2011. The service said it saw a growth of 116% in the number of end consumers using its service, which it says was 7.1 times faster than its competition during late 2011. TeamSnap attributed the growth to the number of sports team using its service, including those in the soccer, basketball, baseball and softball. The site also said more esoteric sports--such as outrigger canoeing; ringette, a popular sport in Canada; and ice hocket--also helped boost usage of the site. TeamSnap is coming off $910,000 in new funding it received in October for its efforts. TeamSnap's web services help teams coordinate schedules, track rosters, share photos, and more.
