Spectra Logic Reports Growth In Fiscal 2011

Boulder-based Spectra Logic, the developer of enterprise tape libraries, is again reporting record results and growth. The firm--which is privately held--said it saw record revenue and profitability for its fiscal year 2011, which ended on June 30th. Actual financial were not disclosed by the company. The firm said its revenues increased by 30 percent year over year, an dis in its fifth consecutive year of profitable growth. Spectra Logic has been reporting growth every quarter so far in 2011, although it has not been announcing any actual financial backing for the claims. The firm said the growth has been accelerated by adoption of tape in high performance computing, media and entertainment, government agency, and general IT environments.
