Sparkfun Celebrates Arduino Day With Sales, April Fools Projects

Boulder-based online electronics project and supply retailer SparkFun says it is celebrating Arduino Day--a 24-hour long celeberation of the popular open source Arduino embedded processor--with a long list of deals and specials. SparkFun is a big supplier of Arduino hardware to the Maker market, in addition to carrying things like Raspberry Pi and 3D printing, and related electronic gadgets. The embedded Arduino processor includes a wide capability to connect to external sensors and devices, and also has an easy to use integrated development environment (IDE) and software interfaces. SparkFun released a video showing a set of April Fool's projects using the Arduino along with its sale.
