Sorrento Deploys In Florida

Denver-based Sorrento Networks, a maker of optical networking hardware, said today that ITS Telecommunications Systems is deploying its products in a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network in Florida. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. ITS Telecommunications Systems is based in Indiantown, Florida. According to Sorrento, ITS is using a loan from the Rural Utilities Service (RUS), a division of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), to build out a fiber optic network to the rural community it serves.
